The Association recognizes the influence that young designers have on the profession and targets Student Members with the information and events that will begin a successful career. An IIDA WI Membership aligns with professional milestones!

An IIDA WI membership helps you to achieve all of your professional milestones through resources you need for educational and professional developtment, not available on campus.  We hope you continue your membership throughout your career.  To see how each milestone is supported, refer to our Professional Milestones quick guide.

Benefits of a Student Membership:
(must be enrolled in an Interior Design or Architecture Program)

1) Connect locally
  • Network with hundreds of professionals throughout the state and get connected to members in other state chapters. 
  • Attend IIDA events and functions; Get involved through volunteering 
  • Land your first job or get that extra help to find an internship 
  • Participate in the STRIDE Mentorship program for resume and portfolio advice, job site tours, panel discussions and more. 
2) Gain Recognition
  • Qualify for scholarships - IIDA WI offers more scholarship opportunities to interior design students than any other professional organization in the state! 
  • Enter competitions and showcase your talent at both the National and State level 
  • Obtain access to QUAD, a quarterly newsletter issued by IIDA highlighting campus center news, student involvement, student session to enter, etc.

Benefits of an Associate Membership:
(must have 2-4 years of coursework resulting in an Interior Design degree)

1) Access to resources to help achieve NCIDQ Certification
  • Know your path to NCIDQ: 
  • NCIDQ Study Group 
  • Twice annual drawing for NCIDQ tuition reimbursement 
  • Exposure to other IIDA members who have taken the exam 
  • Free Continuing Education Units (CEU’s): 10 hours (1.0) CEU requirement every two years, Report to IDCEC to maintain your own records.  

2) Join committees, participate in events and fundraisers; enjoy the rewards of your involvement in IIDA. You
get out of it what you put into it!

3) Annual Interior Design Competitions, creating recognition for your business and yourself!
