IIDA Wisconsin Chapter

The Wisconsin Chapter of IIDA was founded in 1994 to support local designers in their journey for design excellence.  The Chapter supports its member’s growth in the industry through continuing education and networking opportunities in three city centers:  Madison, Milwaukee and the Fox Valley; design award recognition and assistance achieving licensure and professional accreditation.

Supporting Future Designers

IIDA Wisconsin awards over $6000 in student scholarships each year at the annual Celebrate in Design awards.  Students are encouraged to get involved with the Bag Bash celebration held annually in February to raise money for the Susan Wohlitz Memorial Fund, which funds the scholarships.  IIDA Wisconsin also co-sponsors Career Day each spring to provide students an opportunity to network with professionals and learn about the direction of the industry.  The Chapter is dedicated to providing mentoring opportunities and transitional support for our future designers to enter into the industry.

Advocacy

IIDA Wisconsin is dedicated to providing legislative advocacy for its members.  The VP of Advocacy works diligently to stay abreast of legislative issues that affect the designers in the state and ensure that they have a voice.  IIDA WI is dedicated to ensuring the required resources are in place to support designers and their professional rights.
