Why did you get involved with IIDA and what have you found to be the most rewarding?

I got involved with IIDA because I wanted to learn more about the Architecture and Design Industry and I wanted to start networking with people in the industry. So far it has been very rewarding! IIDA offers lots of networking opportunities and chances for students to get involved, which I love. I’ve already gained so much from this organization and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for me.

Favorite IIDA event/opportunity?

The Bag Bash is one of my favorite IIDA events. It’s a great event for networking and it offers lots of opportunities for students to get involved. It is a very exciting event and is a great way to let your creativity out and have fun when designing a bag.

Graduation date and plans/desires for post-graduation?

I plan on graduating in May of 2017. My goal for post-graduation is to go onto grad school to get my Master’s degree of Architecture.

Favorite restaurant near Campus?

One of my favorite restaurants near campus is Dlux. It has a great atmosphere and has really good food! Most of their menu is burgers but they aren’t your typical burgers, they have a wide variety of different options. My favorite is their ginger salmon burger.

Hobbies?

When I’m not crazy busy with school, I really like to run. This past Fall I completed my first half marathon, my next goal is to run a full marathon. I also really like to cook and bake, I’m always trying out new recipes.

Greatest design inspiration?

I am really inspired by historic preservation buildings. I love taking the old and turning it into something new while maintaining the integrity of the building or design. On the other hand, I am also inspired by Scandinavian design. I like how light, clean, and simple the designs can be.
