Tell us about your job and what you love about it: Every day I am excited to come to work at ISG in La Crosse (usually after a cup of coffee!). I feel a strong alignment between ISG and my personal values. Everyone contributes toward the same vision and shares goals to support each other, our community, and our clients. It was very important for me to find a firm that was transparent and trustworthy in their communication and supportive of challenges while offering state-of-the-art technology and resources to stay passionate, dedicated and inspired about what we do. I’ve gained a real sense of fulfillment and purpose by collaborating and working with my colleagues across each of our 8 regional locations.

What is the design culture like in La Crosse? In the office, scooter celebration rides, hover board monitor breaks, and Nerf gun wars are commonplace. Tater tot Thursdays are a real thing and laughing is a daily occurrence. We are busy working away making things happen, but when I look at the clock, the time has flown by. There is a strong sense of camaraderie which helps us all be at the forefront of innovation and growth.

What makes La Crosse so special – things to do, places to eat, things not to miss, etc.? The bluffs and Mississippi River are spectacular. There are absolutely breathtaking views from the many great restaurants downtown but also from my 10th floor office! Extracurricular activities are outstanding- hiking, biking, kayaking, stand-up-paddle boarding, you name it. I encourage everyone to get out to La Crosse to experience it firsthand. Also, I can’t wait for fall; the colors of the trees are out-of-this-world beautiful.

Favorite IIDA event? The Big Bag Bash and Strut are a tie

What makes you most excited about design? Being trusted with opportunity and the never ending potential of innovation. I love that around every corner there’s collaboration, hands moving, pencils scratching. It’s exciting and fun to be able to contribute to something that’s never been done before.
